The OSFP VR4 transceiver is a 400 Gbit/s pluggable module for bi-directional serial optical data communications such as 400GBASE Ethernet. The transceiver operates with four parallel data streams of 106.25 Gbps in order to provide an aggregated signaling rate of 425 Gbps. The module has an MPO 12 (Base 8) male connector and uses four fiber pairs to create the four data lanes.
The module is fully compliant with all OSFP related MSA standards and Digital Diagnostic functions are available through an I2C interface. OSFP-N-400G-VR4 complies with IEEE 802.3 and 400Gbase-VR4.
